Display Numbering Tab Page
On this Tab Page, details of the numbering of pipes and nodes in the GRID are detailed, including the facility to start the numbering of main pipes, range pipes, etc., at any user specified number.
The buttons on the Tool Bar for this Screen are:
- Close - exits this screen.
- Show Errors.
- Help on the current tab page.
- View GRID.
The input items on this Tab Page are the start nodes for:
- Range and Tree Nodes
- Dropper Sprinklers
- Main Pipe Left.
- Main Pipe Centre.
- Main Pipe Right.
The first column only is editable and this allows the user to change the numbering on large grids. Opposite each of these are the start and end pipe and node numbers for each. This helps the user avoid clashing pipe and node numbers. Note that the node and pipe numbers can also be seen in the graphic display of the grid activated by selecting View GRID.
VIEW GRID:
- This provides a graphical display of the GRID if it has been entered. If the user is going to use XPAN, this plot can be displayed and printed (before running XPAN). Using this as a work sheet, the user can mark up the plot with any network irregularities, assigning additional pipe and node numbers or modifying pipe lengths, etc., where appropriate. XPAN can then be run and then the XPANded data file loaded into the data base by Opening this file. The required modifications may then be made in the normal way via the Pipes, Sprinklers & Nozzles, Nodes, etc., Tab Pages. The calculations can then be performed by selecting Calculate on the Main Screen to obtain the final results.
